The Skate Plaza is taking shape!

Follow the progress of the new Eastwoods Skate Plaza from Fall 2013 through January 2014. A lot of progress has been made in a short amount of time.

The land being cleared

Clearing the site for construction began in early Fall 2013.

Pot of Gold!

What a surprise it was to see this amazing double rainbow at the East Woods Skate Plaza construction site. After all of these years of anticipation, it was wonderful to see nature leading us to our Pot of Gold!

December 1, 2013

Two more days

By December, the skate plaza was really taking shape. Our Central New York winter wouldn’t hold out, so work had to stop with only two more days needed to finish pouring the concrete.

Buttoned up

The site was “buttoned up” to protect it from the winter weather. Construction will continue in the Spring.

The weather is not stopping all construction. When possible, other parts of the plaza continue to take shape. Here, the bike path area is being cleared.
